Questions, problems or feedback? Email support@swentalk.com. For account problems, include the phone number you sign in with (never your verification code). To report a person or a message, please use the in-app report button described below so we can see exactly what happened.

I didn’t get my sign-in code

SwenTalk signs you in with a 6-digit code sent by SMS, so there is no password. Check that the number and country are right, wait a minute, and try again. If codes still don’t arrive, email us. You must be at least 16 years old to use SwenTalk (18 if you sign in with an Indian number).

How do I find someone?

Enter their full phone number (10 or more digits; the country code is optional) in the search box when you start a new conversation. There is no name search and no public list of users, so people can only be found by someone who already knows their number, and they need to have signed in to SwenTalk with it.

How do I report or block someone?

On the web, hover a message and click the flag to report it, or open the conversation’s info panel to report or block a person. On iPhone, press and hold a message and choose Report, or use the menu at the top of the chat. Blocked people can’t message you. We review reports, and can remove content or suspend accounts that break the Terms of Service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

Change my name or photo, or delete a chat

Open Settings (the gear or your profile at the bottom left) to change your display name and profile photo. In a conversation’s menu, “Delete chat” removes it from your list only; other people keep their copy.

Download or delete my data

In Settings you can download a copy of your data, or choose Delete account. Deleting your account asks for a fresh SMS code, then removes your profile, photos and messages from our service. This can’t be undone. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Notifications on iPhone

SwenTalk asks to send notifications the first time you sign in. A notification shows the sender’s name and “New message”, never the message itself. You can change this any time in the iPhone Settings app under Notifications → SwenTalk.
